Cristina Hermeziu – Bio

Journaliste littéraire et animatrice culturelle, Cristina Hermeziu est née à Iasi, en Roumanie, en 1971. Docteur en Philologie de l’Université Cuza Iasi depuis 2004 et grand reporter à la Télévision roumaine pendant dix ans. Dès 2005 elle s’installe en France et poursuit des études postdoctorales à l’Université Paris II et à l’Institut Français de Presse. Diplômée ESIT, Ecole Supérieur des Interprètes et des Traducteurs- Université Sorbonne-Nouvelle Paris 3, en 2008. Correspondante à l’étranger pour des publications roumaines, dont Evenimentul Zilei, Adevarul et Dilema Veche. En France, elle signe des articles dans Magazine littéraire, La Lettre, ActuaLitté. A publié notamment Revoluţia din depărtare (La Révolution de loin), éd. Curtea Veche, 2011, sur l’exode des Roumains après l’année 1989, à travers 30 témoignages, et le recueil de poésie Parisul nu crede în lacrimi (Paris ne croit pas aux larmes), éd. Junimea, 2016. Son dernier ouvrage publié – Vedere din Turnul Eiffel (Vue depuis la Tour Eiffel), éd. Junimea, 2017, contient une sélection d’interviews et d’articles qu’elle a publiés ces dix dernières années dans la presse. En 2018 elle a créé le site et la marque #ZoomFranceRoumanie (http://www.zoomfranceroumanie.wordpress.com et sur Facebook) où elle promeut notamment la littérature roumaine traduite en français à travers des chroniques et des interviews avec des écrivains, des éditeurs et des traducteurs.

A literary journalist and cultural facilitator, Cristina Hermeziu was born in Iași, Romania in 1971. She received a PhD from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iași in 2004 and was a special correspondent for Romanian television for ten years. She moved to France and did postdoctoral studies at Université Paris II and the French Press Institute. In 2008, she graduated from ESIT, the École Supérieur des Interprètes et des Traducteurs (school of interpretation and translation) – Université Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris 3. A foreign correspondent for Romanian publications, including Evenimentul Zilei, Adevarul and Dilema Veche. In France, she writes articles for Magazine littéraire, La Lettre, ActuaLitté. She published Revoluţia din depărtare (Revolution from afar), Curtea Veche Publishing, 2011, on the exodus of Romanians after 1989, using 30 personal accounts, and the poetry collection Parisul nu crede în lacrimi (Paris does not believe in tears), Junimea Publishing House, 2016. Her most recent book, Vedere din Turnul Eiffel (View from the Eiffel Tower), Junimea Publishing House, 2017, is a selection of interviews and articles that she has published in the press over the ten previous years. In 2018 she created the site and the brand #ZoomFranceRomania (http://www.zoomfranceRomania.wordpress.com et sur Facebook) where, among other things, she promotes Romanian literature translated into French through articles and interviews with writers, publishers and translators.
